Short description:
New Zealand Winegrowers is the national organisation for New Zealand’s grape and wine sector. It aims to represent, promote and research the national and international interests of the New Zealand wine industry. The organisation currently has approximately 850 grower members and 700 winery members.In 2007, after wide consultation, New Zealand Winegrowers launched an ambitious Sustainability Policy. Its goal: by 2012, all New Zealand wines would be produced under independently audited environmental programmes. The Organisation supports, among the others, the Sustainable Winegrowing New Zealand Program.
