Cantina di Vicobarone

Short description:

Cantina di Vicobarone was founded in 1960 in Vicobarone di Ziano Piacentino, at the heart of Val Tidone and its hills that have always been cultivated with vineyards since ancient times. Barbera, Bonarda, Malvasia and Ortrugo are the main varieties cultivated on approx. 700 hectares of Cantina’s vineyards and which represent its wine-growing top selections. Thanks to the great variety of the soils, combined with the skilled care of their wine-growers in the first phase and oenologists in the second phase, the grapes vinified according to natural fermentation methods produce high quality and typical wines in line with ancient traditions but also focus on new generations, which constantly inspire us. In view of the above, they put effort into being a sustainable winery that boosts the value of the territory and we offer their customers a wine that embodies a synthesis of all these principles. Cantina di Vicobarone sees the concept of sustainability as the best way to hand down a winery and territory to new generations, which are not impoverished and exploited, but still full of natural and human resources.
