Short description:

Tasca d'Almerita is a big Sicilian wine farm and has almost six hundred hectares planted with vines, and exports their products to four continents. Six hundred hectares, five estates and two resorts, all cultivated slowly, respecting the land and its rhythms. Seventy people in Sicily work with another 200 seasonal workers in the estates. Tasca d’Almerita is involved in two important program of sustainability: SOStain and V.I.V.A Sustainable Wine.

Short description of results achieved:
V.I.V.A. Sustainable Wine includes 4 indicators (air, water, wineyard, territory) to allow the winemakers to quantifies the impact on the environment in order to monitoring the different production phases and to support effective strategies to reduce emissions. The consumer can easily check the value of every indicator throght a Q-code on the label of the wine bottle. The results of every indicator are also available HERE
