Mastroberardino
Short description:
The Mastroberardino family has been involved in the socio-cultural context of wine-making for almost three centuries. The most authoritative reports suggest that someone named Berardino, taking the professional title 'Mastro' - master craftsman - began the lineage in the seventeen hundred. Once he had chosen its headquarter in Atripalda in the heart of the Irpinia wine-making region (Campania, Italy), the family linked its fate to the cult of wine. Mastroberardino farm is involved in V.I.V.A. Susteinable Wine project.

Short description of results achieved:
V.I.V.A. Sustainable Wine includes 4 indicators (air, water, wineyard, territory) to allow the winemakers to quantifies the impact on the environment in order to monitoring the different production phases and to support effective strategies to reduce emissions. The consumer can easily check the value of every indicator throght a Q-code on the label of the wine bottle. The results of every indicator are also available HERE
