The Antinori family has been involved in the production of wine for over six centuries, ever since, in 1385, Giovanni di Piero Antinori entered as a member, the “Arte Fiorentina”, the Winemakers’ Guild of the city of Florence. During this entire long period, thorough twenty six generations, the family has always directly managed this work with courageous and, at times, innovative decisions, but always maintaining, unaltered, a fundamental respect for tradition and for the territory in which they have operated. Antinori farm is involved in V.I.V.A. Sustainable Wine project.

Short description of results achieved:
V.I.V.A. Sustainable Wine includes 4 indicators (air, water, wineyard, territory) to allow the winemakers to quantifies the impact on the environment in order to monitoring the different production phases and to support effective strategies to reduce emissions. The consumer can easily check the value of every indicator throght a Q-code on the label of the wine bottle. The results of every indicator are also available here
